New receiving code

I purchased a Xbox live 12 month code and didn’t get it. I waited 10 hours for the code, constantly checking my email and nothing. So I had to cancel the order. I go to buy another item and it says my payments declined. I used a $50 gift card and the code was $41. I try to buy a $14 item and I have never gotten my money back from the code. Please help!!
