Seller gave me a used code. Are buyers protected from getting scammed?

So I’m a new seller in game flip. I ve always purchased robux and mm2 items for my sisters with absolutely no issues at all in Gameflip.

Yesterday I bought robux from a seller only to get a used code. Immediately put it under dispute and sent a msg to the seller. The seller haven’t responded and it’s been over 24hrs.

So I checked his rating. There is few people complaining about having being sold codes that don’t work as recent as 3 days ago. It seems like none of them who complained didn’t get a solution but lost the money.

This takes me to the question, how is this allowed on Gameflip? How can a seller has tons of complains about selling codes that don’t work but still be allowed to continue selling? Surely not everyone is lying or trying to scam the seller?? Also once you put it under dispute, you can’t leave a review.

Also I ve removed sellers name and all on purpose coz I’m hoping for a response and a solution.

Also I would like to note that first time buyers and so on won’t be taking screenshots and be prepared in advance. I luckily took a screenshot but I wonder about those who don’t. I think there should be better solutions and better protection methods from guaranteeing a buyers safety.

What are your thoughts? What was your experience dealing with a purchase of a card already redeemed or a gift card that don’t work?

Hello @Prettyvibes!

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Could you please provide me the order ID so I can take a look at what happened?

Also, I will investigate the negative reviews and see why they have not gone to an escalated dispute.

We do not allow sellers that are scamming on Gameflip, so this will be investigated and we will take action depending on what is found.

Godspeed! :trident:

Thank you so much for your response. Seller did not respond after 5 days and transaction was cancelled with a refund. This why it don’t go into an escalated dispute. I later checked the sellers page only to see all his listing deleted. So this makes me think he probably lists the same gift card in a row hoping for it get sold so then he can later delete the rest except too many people bought at once?

However I do have a new wierd issue, All of a sudden since today Iam unable to list any items for selling or use gameflip app, so I uninstalled and tried installing the app again only for it to say it’s no longer available for my region :scream_cat: I’m not sure what happened all of sudden? Is this a problem with the app? Could you pls advise. Would appreciate it very much.
