Dispute not acknowledged

Bought an item a guy already sold. He marks it sold without giving it to me. I put it under dispute and it get denied… how am I supposed to provide proof that I didnt receive an item. You cant! Now when I email support they say I didnt escalate it. Isn’t me emailing you enough of an escalation?
