A couple times I’ve gotten a public comment asking a question about a listing and I haven’t found a way to reply to the person directly other than messaging them. I also can only actually read the comments in the app and not on the desktop website at all. I don’t see a reply button anywhere and I don’t want to just dm them because then it looks to the public like I’m ignoring questions. Is there a way to reply to the person directly in the public comments? Google says to just @ them, but I don’t know if that even really works.

When someone leaves a message on your listing (Under ask the seller), you receive a notification.
In desktop website, you need to click on ‘Ask the seller’ to see the comments for the listing.
It is the same when you leave a message on your own listing (Under ask the seller). If the other person left a message before and you leave one after (In same listing), the other person will receive a notification. You do not need to tag them. Example of notification -
