I’m a seller on Gameflip and I think I’ve noticed a major change in the platform over the last week or so, but have not seen any announcement or discussion about it. From what I see, it looks like one of the top game categories have essentially been “shadowbanned” from the platform. I won’t name the game in question because I don’t know if there is a legal issue going on and I don’t want to cause any issue myself, but if you know you know. It started a while ago when I noticed the actual logo of the game was removed from the little icon on listings signifying which game a listing is for, now the listings just have the Gameflip “G” icon rather than the logo of the actual game. Somewhat more recently, it seems that all listings selling giftcard codes for the game’s respective ingame currency, as well as any listings directly selling that currency, have also been deleted and are currently not allowed to be sold. Within the last week, I have even had a listing taken down because I mentioned the name of the game in the description of my listing. I have also noticed that this game no longer appears on the front page of the website and app as it used to, it is no longer up there in the “Popular” list under the Game Items tab, and its placement in any area where it used to dominate has been adjusted so it appears way further at the bottom of the list. Whenever I press “Start Selling” to create a listing, my muscle memory has always told me where to press, but now the placement of this game is much farther down the list and it does not have a logo/icon to represent itself with unlike every other valid game. It has got me a little worried as this game comprises 99% of my profile listings, and it makes me wonder if soon we will no longer be able to sell items within this game. If there is any info on what is going on I am dying to hear it. Surely I am not the only person seeing this and it is definitely not something exclusively on my end. And again I’m not saying the name of the game specifically because it seems like any mention of the game’s name has been intentionally taken down. Thanks.
i don’t see the issue with telling the name of the game.

The issue with saying the name of the game is that I recently had one of my Gameflip listings taken down because I had the name of the game written in the listing description. I received a notification and an email with the subject “Warning: Your activity violates Gameflip Terms of Service” and the details specifically said that using the wordmark or trademarks of this game is against Gameflip ToS.
