I agree with all of this and am in the exact same boat.
Sold well over 10k items over the past 8 or so years, got cs items banned, got pubg items banned, always had AT LEAST one subscription running, most of the time all of them stacked onto eachother.
Had to put up with bot trades being a complete mess for the better part of 2024 (still not fixed, 90% of my bot trades are cancelled because their API doesnt work).
If this sticks around it’ll be the nail in the coffin for me and i’ll finally move on.
Sad to say, but GF is a niche marketplace, sellers wont stick around if you make it hard for them to do so. Sales are already abmyssal with high fees, now you’re even limiting us with listings lol. The more listings the more potential sales, and given the low volume - having many listings is the only meaningful way to sell sth.
any clarification on how the 25 limit works? what triggers it and how does it get raised?
I see in the help section, kind of tough math for someone with low sales
You can only have 25 listings active, but in order to unlock 250 active listings, you need 20 sales in a 90 day period
Yes, some games have thousands of skins. But some sellers spam the same skin every minute and it doesn’t matter that they have only 1 of this skin. These are the sellers who cry in the comments here. They don’t care about other sellers, they just clutter the site with their offers so that the potential buyer sees only their offers. By the way, very often such sellers have disgusting service, poor communication with buyers and long delivery.
Maybe I’ll open your eyes, but for those who spam duplicates - nothing has changed. They only benefited from this update. I sent screenshots just above, now the search shows exactly those who create 20-30 identical listings.
This is how search works now, I don’t understand what you’re happy about.
I’m glad they’re hysterical, which means the changes did have some effect on them. As for the search, that’s a different story. I never understood how the search on Gameflip worked and I never liked the search. In addition, Gameflip should add the ability for sellers to create offers with a choice of the number of items. This would be very convenient for offers with, for example, gems from “PS99”. Then the seller would simply have to have one single offer. At the moment, the buyer either needs to contact the seller so that the seller creates a special offer for him, or the buyer needs to buy several times. Let’s say I’m a buyer and I need 40m gems. The seller only has offers for 10m each. I’ll have to buy this 4 times. - Why?
It seems you don’t understand the essence of the problem.
Those who post duplicates - they are not hysterical here.
They are always at the top of the search, because 3-5-20 identical listings are more than 1. They have no competitors, they are now getting more money than ever before.
Changing the listing limits also helps such sellers, if before you couldn’t spam like that, now you can easily get a limit of 5000 and create as many duplicates as you want.
You’re missing the entire point. Your dupe spammer issue isn’t resolved at all, those are the ones that easily have enough sales to not be affected at all (because they abused spamming).
It’s hitting no one but small legit sellers that barely ever showed up on the search to begin with.
You’re projecting a hate ■■■■■ for person A onto person B that has nothing to do with your issues.
