Do you mean the results in the “Listings ” tab in any user’s profile page? If so, the default view is now set to display listings that are on sale, but you can still filter by availability to see the sold ones.
No - this is my profile code: 2B78LC
For some reason, looking at my sold listings doesn’t seem to show the newest items that were sold. Is there a reason for this? Is this true for everyone?
I’m not entirely sure, but it’s likely that Gameflip runs on Amazon servers, and when issues occur on those servers, we see problems like the ones yesterday, where there were delays in listing display—sometimes by several hours. Such incidents have happened multiple times in the past, though they usually improve throughout the day.
Roblox also uses the same servers, so the recent problems might be related to this as well.
(That’s my assumption, but I could be wrong.)
If you’re using a PC, the service also displays items based on the time set on your system. If the time is incorrect, similar issues may occur. However,However, this will only affect the content displayed to this user. I doubt that’s the cause in this case.
If the problem appears in your browser on a PC, you can try clearing the cookies for Gameflip in your browser and logging back into the service.
I could not reproduce this on my end. If it’s persistent, can you please open a ticket? Our quality assurance team will review and give you a proper answer.
Hi - I figured out what the issue was, although I hope it’s a bug and not intended. You have to add the “sort=updated” flag as part of the website filter in the url in order to view the most recent listings or sold listings or else it just shows you whatever the random default order is.
As part of our continued efforts to evolve and grow the marketplace for all, we will soon update the following:
Listing Limits: updated listing limits to be based on last 90 days sales performance. Maximum listings to remain 5,000, as it is today.
Dynamic Listing Throttling: only affecting a handful of users, the maximum number of listings created in one day may be dynamically controlled, so attempts to abuse the listing system to gain visibility may result in lower daily caps.
Yes, another unannounced update… I see that you are only targeting the big and popular sellers of gameflip. I will try not to write an aggressive comment. I have been a popular gameflip seller for almost 7 years and my sales performance in the last 90 days is 5k+. Even though my business was ruined after the last 1000 listing restriction, I was still trying to follow your rules. I was only publishing 1000 listings per day. My sales are literally terrible. And now I see that I and all the other popular sellers have not been able to post ads for the last 1.5 hours. (Although I was publishing 1000 listings per day, another restriction came and I was stopped).
For years, you have accustomed your sellers and popular sellers to post listings and make sales with the same system. Now, with strict rules and restrictions, you are causing all the popular sellers’ sales to drop incredibly and they lose their motivation. The order of all the popular sellers is broken and everyone is complaining about this situation. I don’t blame you but there are no loyal gameflip sellers who think these updates are useful.
If you are trying to redirect us to different platforms or sites with these updates please tell us. Because gameflip used to be fun and profitable. But now it is low sales and tiring.
I really don’t understand what you are trying to do. Everything was perfect but now I am losing motivation every day. I am sure all sellers agree with me.
Unless you haven’t sold much for the last 3 months, popular and big sellers should not be affected by the last 90 days sales, right?
On the web, there’s now an option for sorting by Top Sellers. If you’re the top seller, your listings will be noticed by those buyers like me who want to buy only from reputable sellers.
Any explanation why my listing limit is 25 after selling 10k+ items over the past 8 or so years? I literally can’t list items anymore, cap 25:listed39.
In the previous topic I asked you to add “quantity” and increase the listing limit to more than 5000 thousand, and I received new restrictions. Now I CANNOT stop trading. I am already making money several times less than before, and what will happen if I stop for 3 months? If I get sick or something else happens. Will I ever be able to return to listing 5000? With the current system, I am not sure. It is scary to imagine how much money I will earn then.
My 10,000 sales now are literally nothing. Several years of work on your site became nothing.
@DunnBiscuit wrote in the previous thread, it was created to listen to users, old and new, but you completely and utterly ignore old sellers.
Another decision that hits old players and helps new ones.
First I started getting half as much money, now I can never stop trading.
What will be the next “Updates for a Better Marketplace”? Could you tell us your ideas?
It seems to me that the reaction to the new limit is a bit exaggerated. According to it, you only need to sell 150 items within 3 months to unlock 2,500 items on the list. That amounts to around 50 items per month.
Moreover, the limits are not for a 30-day period, but for the last 90 days. You just need to sell 133 items in a month to maintain the limit at a constant level of 5,000.
Moreover, it does not affect the limit of 1000 items that you can add again during the day
Now I have 200 sales from 5000 listings in 30 days.
It is logical to assume that if there are 2500 listings, I will sell 100.
So if I ever stop trading, I will get a limit and make EVEN less money.
What reaction should I have when my work is being destroyed before my eyes?
I’m already making less, and if I stop and take a vacation, it will simply kill my business.
If anything this pointless limitation should take total $$ of sales instead of # into account. And even that would be bad, theres zero reason for this limitation at all.
I last listed items 2 weeks ago. Went to create a listing today and I’m now limited to 25 total listings? Is this an error? Doesn’t mention anything about daily. If this isn’t some sort of mistake it’s very disappointing.
I would have to unlist over 500 unique items to be able to list new ones? This also blocks my ability to edit listings as once they are in draft mode you get an error when you attempt to confirm the edit. Go look up any guide for how to sell online listings faster and most will tell you to improve the listing. This makes that quite a challenge.
This is in addition to the frustration of having 10 canceled sales this past month because items are stuck on bots and buyers cannot retrieve the items.
I’m afraid to cash out via gift card anymore anyways as plenty of sellers are clearly selling stolen codes. Maybe look into that first.
This choice flop as a digital seller of codes and skins with over 13k sales. I’ve stuck around when bots were banned with CS items, PUBG items were lost to the trade lock, and through times when you couldn’t process payouts. I was selling many things on here before you even had categories for them. I’ve had some sort of Gamflip subscription since they were introduced. Unless these changes are reconsidered I will be ending my sub. Time I would have spent posting items here will be spent relisting all my items elsewhere. You’ve made it increasingly difficult to use over the years but now I can’t even list new items or edit drafts. This is a serious step backwards in both the skin and code markets (skins particularly as they have a 7 day cooldown so you could only list them a maximum of 2x per month and they’d be in draft mode or seller inventory the entire time).
For reference I have a little over 200 Feedback (not sure of sales amount) on eBay in about twice as long as GF. A month ago I started listing again after a 5+ year hiatus and my monthly selling limits are 5k items and 50k in sales. I currently am restricted to 25 items here partly because the bots are unable to deliver my items. (A recurring problem throught GFs history.)
Please refocus on what matters. Get your bots working again (I’ll pay your higher fees and wait longer if I can “set it and forget it”.) Hire someone to go through sellers with excessive bad ratings and remove those sellers. Gift card section is full of sellers clearly selling stolen codes and burning buyers. I no longer buy the cheapest gift card and try to only buy from a handful of sellers.
I appreciate your efforts to improve your search but I just tried searching for a “movie” and was presented with a bunch of Lego Movie games. I searched another listing by it’s title and couldn’t find mine. I found a few similar ones buried pages back but gave up because it doesn’t show how many pages I have left to go and each page had tons of these. Caps | 80000C - Fallout 76 Game Items - Gameflip Literally hundreds, maybe thousands of this listing served up before a listing with the exact words in the title. Is someone looking for a AWP dragonlore? Maybe they type in “dragonlore” to all, but unfortunately just get a blank page. Not suggestions for other AWPs or similarly priced items, just a blank page. Maybe it works better on mobile or doesn’t work well with Chrome?
So there isn’t a Dlore. I’ll buy a “howl”. This time there’s results but it’s just any listing with howl somewhere in it. (Having it in the title doesn’t seem to rank it higher than just having “howl-arious” in the description.) Either way no one is searching howl and hoping to get those results. One of the movie sellers doesn’t actually have the code and just holds buyer funds until he has enough to buy a bundle.
Most items I get tons of garbage listings before getting the actual item I’ve searched by name.
