Reviews on cancel items

I don’t know if is a bug or is a new thing. Buy someone has got a review in a cancel post from a buyer. You can get the review but you can’t put one. This sounds as a bug, as is nearly 100% sure that if you cancel something the buyer will put you a negative review. Please i want to know if is a bug that is happening to all or just a bug for me. Thanks

Sellers are responsible for keeping their listings accurate and up to date. If an item becomes unavailable, the seller should update or remove the listing, and not wait until a buyer makes a purchase and then cancel.

When sellers cancel after a purchase, it creates a bad buyer experience and discourages new users from making further purchases or using the platform altogether.

If you the seller cancel a purchase for any reason then the buyer should have the option to leave you a review. Why would you want to leave the buyer a review? you have either failed to deliver or cancelled the buyers purchase.

On the other hand. if the seller is unable to make contact with the buyer through Gameflip’s messaging service or the buyer fails to respond to *multiple messages from the seller and the promised delivery time frame has passed. at this point the seller should be able to cancel the purchase without the fear of receiving a poor/bad/negative feedback

Get it totally the problem comes when you try to contact several times with the buyer and you cancel it because the other person is not making any type of interest or neither reply you back. Then when gets cancel I understand that the person must be unable to make a review. And that’s what i am asking, if is fair to the buyer to have the opportunity to put a review when you know is nearly a 100% sure of a negative review. And if this is happening because a bug or is a new thing that has been added

I completely agree, Often, what happens is:

  • A buyer purchases an item.
  • The seller reaches out multiple times through Gameflip’s messaging system but receives no response.
  • The delivery timeframe passes, and Gameflip automatically sends the seller a notice: “Do Not Send your Item – Pending Cancellation.”
  • At this point, the seller has no choice but to cancel the sale.
  • The seller receives a poor rating for not delivering the item.

Exactly and I don’t understand why. Because this way the seller will being always expose to be waiting until last minute to cancel but don’t take to much as will make you possible to get the negative review

This policy is in place to protect the buyer experience, since cancellations can be frustrating and may discourage new buyers from returning to the marketplace.

That said, we understand the situations you mentioned, where sellers reach out multiple times and the buyer does not respond, leaving the seller with no choice but to cancel. In those cases, if you feel the negative rating is unfair, the best path is to open a ticket with our Support team. They will review the situation, and if the cancellation happened due to buyer inactivity, the rating can be removed.
