So I couldnt hold the transaction and open a support ticket because of suspension. The transaction got automatically completed itself after 3days. The card most probably was obtained by illegal means
Then gameflip has the audacity to suspend you when you file chargebacks with your bank for genuine reasons like this and their support most of the time favors the sellers even when provided evidence.
A couple of my gamestop cards are also showing 0 balance now and Iam done with this Website. I have followed up with several chargebacks since the support is pretty much seller oriented. As much as I have saved money here the whole stress of orders getting canceled days after being initiated is not worth the hassle.
If you open up a dispute the timer will stop so it couldnt of completely the transaction.
The reason they banned you if you do chargeback is because you didn’t do all in your power to work with gameflip to try fixing the issue.
Alot of companys banned you if you do chargeback.
Game favors the buyer. Gameflip only favors the seller if they got very good evidence.
I’m sorry you think the staff is bad on gameflip I want to let you know they’re very good. Yes sometime they make people pull out there hair but normal they fix the issues.

So this seller first sold me a stolen gift card and then proceeded to give a negative feedback that I didnt rate him in a day. How could I rate or hold transaction when gameflip wont let me. Now they will come with a sorry excuse that 3days are up and site policy blah blah blah. This seller has around 100 positive feedback. Iam on chat with apple. I will be contacting gamestop after this . Iam gathering up evidence against gameflip allowing stolen gift cards to be sold on this website. Repeated offenders like lyskayshop , like evgeny given a platform to loot our money
They dont “allowed” stole items to be on the site.
That why its in the CoD and ToS. If there evidence they banned the accounts if they think people are breaking ToS.
How do you want gameflip to know if a code is stoling or not? Any tips will be helpful.
Gameflip will help people after the 3 days if they find out the seller use a stoling code or used a stoling credit card to buy something to sell it. If you can show gameflip the code you bought want to $0 or show them you got a email saying the code has been turn off because someone usef a stoling card to buy it gameflip will give your money back regardless if its after the 3 days or not.

The gift code was used by someone else. Probably the original owner. According to Apple rep they cannot disclose the identity nor the date. Guess that would be enough for paypal.

Stop telling people to stay away on gameflip forums just because you had a few bad times. Every company has a few bad apples but that does not make the full site bad. That does not make all seller or buyer or staff members bad.
If you’re going to keep being rude to the site just because of this I think you should just leave.

I am warning people. Just that a seller here has racked up positive trader scores doesn’t mean that your safe. Instead you should be more careful because the support will side with the old seller even when evidence is provided. I wouldn’t wish someone to be potentially losing hundreds of dollars like I am at this moment. I just hope paypal comes through

You have evidence… this is not EBAY only on ebay the favor comes to the scammer. Thia is Gameflip. You had to post here and talk to dunnbiscuit. He would have banned the seller and refund You the amount. If You look around there have been so many cases like Your and when there was evidence like Yours they always got helped and refunded. Talk to dunn and figure it out. I am sure You chargedback in Your stress and fear situation

You should never file a chargeback before contacting the support team and giving them a chance to look into your issue. Im talking about any store on the world, not just on Gameflip.
Chargebacks are always the last solution you should ever think about in case you were the victim and the support staff didn’t help you. If you do a chargeback, you’ll be taking back your money by force (assuming PayPal sides with you), plus the store will get a penalty of something like $25. So you’re going to be taking back your money and causing them fees to pay for no reason.
Obviously GF will ban you if you go with the chargeback route even if you had money in your GF wallet as per their terms. And also, mostly scammers that file chargebacks without getting in touch with the store so don’t blame them.
Let’s go about it another way as an example, will you file a police report if you found out that your son was stealing a couple of bucks from you wallet just to buy some candy from the store? No, you go talk to your son and educate him how that was wrong. I know it’s not the exact thing as the chargeback situation, but we’re talking about the principle here and how you should go about fixing such problems.
