Release Funds Immediately After Dispute Resolution

I would like to propose some changes to the way funds are managed following the conclusion of a dispute. At the moment, the funds are kept on hold for a while after the transaction is marked as completed, even if the buyer’s dispute timer expires or support rules in the seller’s favour. This delay only irritates sellers and accomplishes nothing useful.

If the money is released to the seller’s wallet right away after a dispute is settled in their favour, that would make a lot more sense. This would increase system trust and expedite the flow of transactions in general.

I hope the Gameflip will think about making this adjustment. Supporting sellers who adhere to the rules would greatly benefit from this minor change.

Hello @BloxMint,

Thanks for taking the time to share your suggestion and feedback.

Just to clarify, there are actually two separate timers involved in the process after a sale:

  1. Dispute timer – This is related to how long the buyer has to raise concerns and how the case is handled by our support team.
  2. Funds availability timer – This is a separate system that determines when the proceeds from your sale become fully available in your wallet, even after a successful resolution in your favor.

Once a dispute is resolved and the sale is finalized, the money does go to the seller’s wallet, but depending on your account’s sales history, that amount may appear as “pending” for a few days before it can be withdrawn or used. This is part of a standard risk management process applied to all sellers, especially newer ones or accounts with limited transaction history.

You can find more detailed information about this in our Help Center:
Why is my cash from sales proceed pending?

We understand that this delay can be frustrating, but it plays an important role in maintaining marketplace security and trust across the platform.
